Members and friends of the Hudson Highlands United Methodist Church, shown here, spent many hours at their Mission Center (316 Main St., Highland Falls) last week, handing out free backpacks and bags filled with school supplies to students of the Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District. Those who didn’t pick up the bags they pre-registered for, or who never registered, can stop by the same location next weekend (Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 29 and 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) to get them. For more information call 845-446-9444.
