As November settles in with crisp air, changing leaves, and the anticipation of Thanksgiving, it offers us a meaningful opportunity to pause and reflect on the many blessings in our lives. This season of gratitude reminds us to appreciate family, friends, neighbors, and the small acts of kindness that make our community feel like home. May we carry the spirit of Thanksgiving throughout the month by sharing our time, lending a helping hand, and letting those around us know how thankful we are for them.

School news/events
Marlboro High School celebrated Surprise Attendance Day on October 19 with a Dunkin’ Donuts Sampling Day!
Surprise Attendance Days are a fun way to reward students for coming to school and arriving on time. Happening at random throughout the school year, these special days may include fun activities, special events, prizes, and other surprises for students who are present. You never know what’s in store, so be sure to show up and be on time!
Marlboro High School students in Brian Barbulean’s Public Policy and Engaged Citizenship classes visited the Newburgh Free Library on October 17 to help bring a community baby shower to life! Hosted by Raising Solo and led by Nyla Pritchardo, the event welcomed 10 expecting mothers. Students helped with setup and guided guests throughout the event, gaining hands-on experience while supporting families in the community.
The Marlboro High School Leo Club teamed up with the Marlboro-Milton Lions Club on October 20 to support a Veterans Luncheon hosted by the Ulster County Veterans Services Agency at the Town of Marlborough Community Center.
Our student volunteers helped take orders and serve meals before sitting down to share lunch and conversation with local veterans. Through opportunities like these, our Dukes continue to put service, compassion, and community engagement into action.
A big thank you to the Ulster County Veterans Services Agency, the Marlboro-Milton Lions Club, and all the volunteers who helped make this event special!
