You have just a few more days to visit the Storm King Decision art exhibit, located on the Sands Ring property in the center of Cornwall, before it comes down on November 1, Co-Creator Vivien Collens said this week.
Last week, Collens met with members of Girl Scout Troop 803 (led by Lorraine Anderson) to show them the garden and tell them about the installation. They were the first participants, as shown here, in the Storm King Decision ‘We Care’ stewardship project, where visitors pledge to do their part of help the environment.
The living art has been used to provide similar education opportunities in recent months. Co-creator Jeannette Redden did a program with Girl Scout Troop 24 (led by Mandy Bywater) on September 13, where they talked about the garden, the plants, their history and flower arrangements, and the girls made wildflower arrangements to take home. Redden also did a program with Storm King School students on September 15.
“We hope more people will sign the pledges, which become part of the project,” Collens said.
