The election for the new Town of Newburgh supervisor will soon be here. As a Town resident, I fully endorse Scott Manley , our current deputy supervisor who has been doing an amazing job for the past 10 years. I, for one, would like to see that momentum continue. As a Town of Newburgh resident for over 50 years Scott has chosen to continuously support our community. Scott has been in service to our community since 1983 when he first became a Town of Newburgh police officer. He attended NFA , raised a family here, and he, as well as his parents and the rest of his family still called this Town home. I fully support the idea of having a long-term, bona fide Town of Newburgh resident in charge of our town as opposed to a resident from another town, deciding how to care for our community and spend our taxes. Our taxes are Scott’s taxes, our problems in this town are Scott’s problems… And no matter how good an outsider may seem on paper, they don’t have the same concerns or investment as a Town resident does when it comes to serving our community. We need Scott Manley here, exactly where he is supposed to be.
