In the next few weeks, I will confidently vote for Scott Teresi for Cornwall Town Council, and I would encourage you to do so as well.

I have lived in the Cornwall area for more than 56 years and have been a registered Republican since I first voted. Until recently, Cornwall politics had been cooperatively bipartisan. Lately, the rhetoric from the party seems to want to spread fear, tear down our institutions and erode confidence in the friends and neighbors who represent us.

Since I first heard Scott Teresi share his positions on issues, his messaging has been optimistic while communicating his independent thinking. He talks about Cornwall being an “and” community not an “or” one. He is a leader who treats public service as an opportunity to give back, not as a platform. Scott operates on principles forged during his time in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he carries those lessons into his work with the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. I have observed him in meetings; he comes prepared and also listens to the thoughts and concerns of others. While displaying these characteristics, Scott is open to collaborative ideas evolving.

I believe he will work with the other town board members to continue Cornwall’s forward progress while protecting the things which make our town unique and special. I enthusiastically endorse Scott Teresi for Cornwall Town Council and urge you to cast your vote for a candidate who understands and exemplifies the meaning of service.

In Scott’s own words: Purpose. Process. Progress.
