Did you know you can make a bendy, movable person out of pipe cleaners? Children in CONNECT’s Mind & Motion class do – they created these people by twisting the colorful chenille stems into a flexible skeletons, sometimes using pieces of straws for structure. Working in the photos are Florence, Benjamin, Joshua, Aubrey, Laura, Adrian, Delaney, Emerson, Cylia and Lucas; and a ballerina figure that was created. CONNECT is the free, afterschool program provided to Highland Falls Intermediate School third through eighth graders by West Point Association of Graduates.
