Patricia “Pat” Stahl, 90, of Milton, New York, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2026.
Born on December 5, 1935, in Milton, New York, Pat was the daughter of Edgar and Adele Rhoades. She grew up on her family’s fruit farm and remained on the family property throughout her life. She attended SUNY New Paltz and went on to become an English teacher in the Marlboro School District. She was also a longtime member of the Grace Episcopal Church choir in Middletown.
Pat is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew Stahl; her stepdaughter, Jennifer Vanderberg, and son-in-law, Timothy Vanderberg; her stepson, Andrew Stahl, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Stahl; and her granddaughters, Ashley Stahl and Grace Vanderberg.
Pat will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and welcoming spirit. She loved entertaining family and friends, especially at her memorable annual picnics and lively croquet games. She enjoyed playing dominoes, spending time with friends, and traveling across the country on ski trips with Andy. She also had an adventurous side, and the two enjoyed hitting the open road together on their Harley-Davidson.
A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
