The Newburgh Enlarged City School District will host a Family Hero Night and Resource Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 20, offering families information about drug prevention, community resources and healthy choices.
The event will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education building, 124 Grand St., in Newburgh, as part of the district’s Red Ribbon Week activities.
Observed nationally from Oct. 23–31, Red Ribbon Week is an annual campaign that raises awareness about drug prevention and encourages children and teens to live drug-free.
Families can learn about local support services and participate in activities throughout the evening. Giveaways will also be available, and attendees are encouraged to wear superhero costumes or T-shirts.
