Last Saturday, October 31, the First Reformed Church of Walden invited trick-or-treaters to its annual trunk-or-treat and chili cook-off. Between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., dozens of passerby received tons of candy from decorated trunks and tasted several homemade chilis. The trick-or-treaters appreciated the food and hospitality, and members of the church loved seeing all the different costumes.

The winner of the trunk-or-treat was Felicite Calabrese and co. for their duck-themed trunk. The winners of the chili cook-off included Gail Nordmann for most original chili, Jerry Hanen for hottest chili, and Carol Ann for overall best chili.
