The Cornwall Lions Club hosted its second annual dog walk on Saturday, Oct. 3 – the mission was to support two area non-profits that help both animals and humans, Guiding Eyes for the Blind and Hudson Valley SPCA. “My friend Evelyn and I got the idea with two purposes: to engage more the community and provided awareness of what Lions do. The majority of people in our town own a dog, so the connection was clear,” Lions member Eloisa Jessup said. The event had to be postponed for a week this year, but 27 dogs and their owners were pre-registered and enjoyed the day. Serving as sponsors for the day, and providing treats for the walkers, were ShopRite and Hannaford.
