Bruce Leonard McNeely Sr. of Walden, NY passed away on October 12, 2026 at Garnet Health Medical Center. He was 89. He was born on June 14, 1937 in Unadilla, NY to the late Hubert McNeely and Florence Reynolds. Bruce was married to the late Carol Ann Avilio McNeely. He was a machine operator for Interstate Bag in Walden, NY for many years. Bruce honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Cold War. He was an active member for many years at St. Andrews Episcopal Church Walden, NY. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by sons, Bruce L. McNeely Jr. (Julie Vousden) of Walden and Robert A. McNeely (Susan) of Walden; grandchildren, Tayler, Kyle, Colin, Kristen and Kelsey; great granddaughter Avery; nieces and nephews.
Bruce was predeceased by his wife Carol Ann; grandson Connor McNeely; brother, Hubert Mcneely Jr. and Charles McNeely; sisters, Leola Turner and Edith Alvarez.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 24, 2026 at 11 AM at the Bruynswick Rural Cemetery, 1166 Hoagerburgh Rd. Wallkill, NY.
Reception to follow at St. Andrew's Parish Hall.
