SUNY New Paltz will host the 2026 Hudson Valley Future Summit on Friday, Nov. 6, bringing together business leaders, educators, government representatives and nonprofit professionals to examine how organizations can use artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively.
This year’s summit, themed “The AI Advantage: Making AI Work Responsibly for Your Organization,” will focus on practical applications of AI and how organizations are using the technology to improve productivity, solve problems and support decision-making.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom, with check-in and networking beginning at 8:30 a.m. The morning program will include a panel discussion, “Beyond the Hype: Practical AI Execution for Real-World Business,” moderated by entrepreneur and technology leader Johnny LeHane.
Pamela Pavliscak, author of “All the Feels: How to Stay Human in the Digital World,” will deliver the lunchtime keynote, “The Secret Psychology of Successful Human + AI Collaboration.” She will discuss the human factors involved in adopting AI, including when to trust the technology, when to question its output and when human judgment should take precedence.
Individual tickets are $25. Through Friday, Oct. 23, attendees can purchase two tickets for $40 or three for $50. SUNY New Paltz alumni are eligible for a 10% discount with the code SUMMIT26. University faculty, staff and students may register by emailing futuresummit@newpaltz.edu.
