Senior Citizens Valentines Day Lunch

The Town of Lloyd Recreation Committee presents the Highland Senior Citizens Valentines Day Lunch.
The lunch will be held at Coppola’s La Fantasia on Tuesday, February 11th at 12 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Seating is limited, all reservations must be made in advance.
The meal will be a buffet lunch featuring salad, a variety of entrée options, soda, coffee and ice cream. There will be a cash bar open as well. Please stop by the Town Clerks Office or mail your reservation payment to the office at 12 Church Street.

The Highland Educational Foundation SnowBall 2020 will be held on Saturday, February 22 from 6:30 - 11 p.m. at Novella’s at 2 Terwilliger Lane, New Paltz.
With a focus on student and staff health and wellness, and an awareness of the ongoing environmental impact of our everyday activities, this year the Highland Educational Foundation will raise money to purchase two water refill stations in each school, and provide every student with their own reusable water bottle.
In addition, this will be the second year in which the Highland Educational Foundation Snowball will feature inductions into the Highland Hall of Fame.
Join the community while they celebrate the achievements and contributions of Hall of Fame Inductees: Cpl. Michael Oremus, class of 2002 (posthumous), Charlie Busick, Class of 1949 and Husky Pride Honoree Elyse Scott. Tickets for the SnowBall are $65 per person - beer and wine are included with dinner, otherwise there will be a cash bar. Throughout the evening there will be raffles and silent auctions.

Girls Lacrosse Registration
Girls lacrosse spring 2020 is open for registration now at southernulsterlacrosse.com. Girls in grades K-6 are welcome to participate.

The Highland Music Boosters, Inc. thank you for your continual support of music education, and understanding that it is an essential part of every child’s education, no matter the personal circumstance.

Annual American Heart Association Kid’s Heart Challenge
Highland Elementary School is off to a great start with their Annual American Heart Association Kid’s Heart Challenge fundraiser. Thus far, $260 of their $3,000 goal has already been raised and all proceeds will benefit the AHA.
Students are encouraged to make pledges such as moving more, adding color to their diet, helping others, or avoiding tobacco. Help HES reach their goal before the end of February by visiting this website: bit.ly/2GKVwJD

Upcoming Events at the Highland Public Library:
Teen Volunteers: Operation Gratitude.Feb. 10. 3 – 4 p.m. Show your appreciation for Americans who are currently serving or have served our country by writing a letter or drawing a picture that will be sent to them through Operation Gratitude. Those attending will earn one hour of community service.
Oreo Taste Test Challenge. Feb. 12. 3 - 4 p.m. Can you guess the flavor of all these delicious oreos? Put your taste buds to the test! *Preference will be given to those residing in the Highland Central School District.
Tween/Teen Nintendo Labo. Feb. 18. 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Try our amazing new Nintendo Labo program. Create toy-cons (DIY projects that interact with your Nintendo Switch). Go fishing, race on a motorbike, or become a giant robot! Watch the trailer to see what amazing things you can create! This is part one of a two-part course. The Nintendo Lab will take two sessions to complete and play with! Children are encouraged to attend Tuesday, February 18th and Tuesday, February 25.
