The Town of Plattekill is accepting nominations for its 2026 Citizen of the Year Award, which will be presented as part of Plattekill Day on Sept. 19.

The award recognizes a Plattekill resident who demonstrates outstanding character and a strong commitment to helping others and making a positive difference in the community.

Nominations must be submitted by Sept. 4. Nomination forms are available at Town Hall, the Town Clerk’s Office and at townofplattekill.gov.

Completed forms may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Citizen of the Year Committee, Town of Plattekill, c/o Town Clerk Sarah Nelson, P.O. Box 45, Modena, NY 12548. The award is sponsored by the Plattekill Town Board.
