The Town of Lloyd will hold a free community shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Town Hall parking lot behind 12 Church St.
Residents may bring paper, file folders, checkbooks and documents containing staples and paper clips. Small quantities of plastic identification and credit cards also will be accepted.

Items that cannot be accepted include hard drives, electronics, CDs, DVDs, hazardous materials, X-rays, syringes, needles, batteries and other metal items.
To ensure the service is available to as many residents as possible, participants are asked to limit their materials to three standard paper storage boxes or an equivalent amount of material.
