Liza Mills is an artist, printmaker, and retired public-school art teacher who has called the Gunks home—and climbed its cliffs—for more than 34 years. Her drawings, linocuts, and screenprints celebrate the landscape, wildlife, climbing gear, and wonderfully odd little moments of climbing life. When she isn’t home, Liza travels in a van with her husband and her crag cat, Dwayne, finding new landscapes and subjects along the way. Her work grows from a deep attachment to the Gunks and to the people, creatures, and climbing culture that give this place its unmistakable character.
Artist Reception on Saturday, November 14th from 3-5pm
