Things got a little wild at Highland Elementary School during this year’s Kindergarten Wild Rumpus! On October 28 and 29, the school’s youngest Huskies brought the beloved children’s book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak to life, donning colorful handmade masks and transforming into “Wild Things” for a lively performance filled with roaring, stomping, clawing, and teeth gnashing!
In addition to acting out the classic story, students showed off some of the color songs they’ve been learning since the start of the school year. It was a wildly wonderful performance for families and special guests!
