John Michael Quinn, of Montgomery, New York, passed away at the age of 75, leaving behind a loving family whose lives were immeasurably enriched by his love, devotion, and unwavering presence. A beloved husband, father, PopPop, brother, uncle, and friend, John will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. The love of his family was the only thing that surpassed his unwavering support for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and New York Mets.
Born on August 15, 1951, at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey, John was the son of Charles and Gloria Foster Quinn. He grew up in a large family, surrounded by the love and companionship of his siblings. Family was always at the center of John's life, and the bonds he shared with those he loved remained among his greatest blessings throughout his life.
John was the devoted husband of Barbara, the love of his life, his best friend, and his constant companion for 50 years. Their love and commitment to one another were evident to everyone who knew them. They were practically inseparable, and it was rare to see one without the other. Their life together was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and devotion.
Above all, John treasured his family. He was a proud father of three and a loving PopPop to his nine grandchildren, whom he lovingly considered his “Special Blessings”. His role as a husband, father, and grandfather was central to his life, and his love for his family will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara; his children, Sean Quinn (Jennifer), Katie-Anne Veeneman (Joseph), and Megan Nicosia (Devin Casano); and his nine grandchildren, Joseph, Brennan, Luke, MaryKate, Maisie, Michael, Riley, Christopher, and Brayden. He is also survived by his siblings, Dianne Geiler, Jacqueline Rossi, Thomas Quinn (Patricia), James Quinn (Deborah), and Mary Eileen Hannon (Paul); his sister-in-law, Penny Quinn; his brother-in-law, Leroy Harris; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins who were part of his extended family.
