As they do every year, members of the West Point-Highland Falls Rotary Club gathered at the three cemeteries in Highland Falls last week to place flags on veterans’ graves.
This year, the Rotarians had the help of the Westchester Vipers hockey team. The young players, coached by Rotarian Carol Spisso’s son (and O’Neill High School graduate) Marco, cheerfully and respectfully spread out to seek the veterans graves in Peacedale Cemetery, and place the flags.
As they did that, other Rotarians headed to Eagle Valley and Highland Union Cemeteries to do the same thing.
