For Our Freedom Amendment

On the 250th, what would our founders think of big money buying political influence?

I support the For Our Freedom Amendment, because unlimited spending in elections is bad for our democracy. Big spending allows corporations, billionaires, and foreign governments to purchase control of our government.

This constitutional amendment returns to congress, and the states, the right to limit campaign spending. This right was taken away by Citizens United and other Supreme Court decisions. The For Our Freedom Amendment will allow legislatures to once again enact common sense campaign finance guidelines and return the power of government to the people.

The For Our Freedom Amendment is getting overwhelming support across party lines. As of April 2026, 25 state legislatures have passed resolutions calling on Congress to propose an amendment to re-enable congress and the states to set guidelines on election spending. Utah, Oklahoma, and Idaho are the latest three states to make the commitment to getting big money out of our politics.

The most recent constitutional amendment was enacted in 1992. As we mark the 250th year of our nation, the time has come for we the people to once again amend our Constitution. Learn more about the For Our Freedom Amendment and tell your representatives in government that you support this important amendment.
