The celebration will bring Halloween festivities to Main Street throughout the day, including trick-or-treating, the Black Cat Scavenger Hunt, the Hocus Pocus Halloween Parade, Trunk or Treat with Beacon first responders, a family-friendly Halloween celebration at Happy Valley, and a Kids & Family Costume Contest.
CONFIRMED EVENTS & TIMELINE
**11:00 AM to 6:00 PM | Main Street Trick-or-Treating & Black Cat Scavenger Hunt**
Families can make their way along Main Street, visiting participating businesses during their normal business hours for trick-or-treating and the Black Cat Scavenger Hunt.
Participating businesses will display a numbered orange pumpkin in their window and hide a black cat somewhere inside. Children can find the black cat and have the corresponding square on their scavenger-hunt passport stamped.
**Scavenger-hunt passports will be available at participating Main Street businesses, as well as at all three prize pickup locations, so families can easily join the hunt throughout the day.**
**For every 15 stamps collected, participants can receive a prize at one of three prize pickup locations:**
• The Gate House Team at Compass, 490 Main Street
• Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties, 226 Main Street
• Corcoran Country Living, 215 Main Street

Happy Valley will host a family-friendly Halloween celebration throughout the afternoon.
**2:30 PM | Hocus Pocus Halloween Parade Lineup**
Parade participants should gather at **Bank Square at 2:30 PM** for lineup.
**3:00 to 3:30 PM | Beacon’s Hocus Pocus Halloween Parade**
The parade will step off from **Bank Square at 3:00 PM**, make its way down Main Street, and **end at Veterans Place at approximately 3:30 PM**.
**3:00 PM | Trunk or Treat with Beacon First Responders**
**Trunk or Treat will take place at Veterans Place, where the Hocus Pocus Halloween Parade ends.** Beacon first responders will be there beginning at 3:00 PM, with festivities continuing until the candy runs out.
**4:15 PM | Costume Contest Arrival**
Children, teens, families and groups who would like to participate in the costume contest should arrive at **Happy Valley, 296 Main Street, by 4:15 PM** to be considered.
**4:45 PM | Kids & Family Costume Contest**
The costume contest begins at Happy Valley at 4:45 PM and will include:
• **Best Family / Group Costume**
• **Best Kid Costume**, ages 0 months to 12 years
• **Best Teen Costume**, ages 13 to 17 years
**Costume contest winners will receive prizes featuring gift cards donated by a variety of local Beacon businesses**, making the contest another fun way to celebrate and support the Beacon community.
