The Hudson Highlands Nature Center (HHNC) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Meadows & Trails 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11am at its Outdoor Discovery Campus (120 Muser Drive) in Cornwall, New York. The annual fundraiser invites runners and walkers to enjoy the beauty of the Hudson Valley in autumn while supporting their Nature Education programs & the care of their Animal Ambassadors. The 3.1-mile course winds through HHNC’s 177 acre property, passing grassy meadows, lively ponds, wooded trails, and with scenic views of Black Rock Mountain cloaked in fall colors.

Celebrating 10 years of running for nature, the Meadows & Trails 5K helps fund educational experiences for children, school groups, and families throughout the year, as well as the care of HHNC’s Animal Ambassadors. Participants can make a difference simply by running or walking the course.

"I've been there since year one, and it's amazing to see how much it has grown over the years! Celebrating the 10th anniversary is a wonderful milestone for the Nature Center. We’re grateful to everyone who has participated, volunteered and supported us over the years, and we look forward to celebrating this special anniversary with our community," said Joanna Marvel, Marketing Manager of the Hudson Highlands Nature Center.

Race packet pick-up and same-day registration begins at 10am.  Registration includes: Race packet, T-shirt (guaranteed to the first 100 registered runners), and post-race refreshments. Medals will be awarded to overall winners and age-group finishers.
