The Walden Village Board, at its last meeting, adopted Local Law Number 5, 2024, requiring utility companies to remove inactive, broken, or replaced utility poles within the village.
The so-called zombie polls are common sights throughout the region.
Village Manager John Revella predicted there would be at least 200 utility polls replaced.
