Kaelyn Marcano and Zialyse Moseley won two events, leading the Valley Central girls’ track and field team to a narrow, 71-70 win over the Warwick Wildcats on April 30 at Valley Central High School in Montgomery.

Marcano won the discus and shot put events for the Vikings, who won all three relays. Moseley won the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles.

Dayna Scott (100-meter dash), Catherine Primavera (200-meter dash), Sarah DelPilar (3,000-meter run), Reilly Benson (triple jump) won events for the Vikings who swept the three relays.

The boys’ team suffered an 82-59 loss.

Aaron Frias (400-meter hurdles), Caleb Sahlstrom (3,200-meter run), Thomas DeMond (high jump), Derek Vincent (long jump, triple jump), and Tahajae Platt (shot put) picked up wins for the Vikings.
