Two-alarm fire damages residence in Pine Bush

The Pine Bush Fire Department was dispatched to 164 Boyce Road, Pine Bush for a reported structure fire at 2:06 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Arriving fire department personnel were met with heavy smoke coming out of the two-story wood frame structure.

The residence was unoccupied upon arrival and there are no reported injuries.


Fire department personnel were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area of the home with the remainder of the residence sustaining smoke, heat and water damage.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental cause when investigated by the Ulster County Division of Fire Investigation.

The Pine Bush Fire Department received mutual assistance from the Bullville Fire Department, Montgomery Fire Department, Coldenham Fire Department, Walden Fire Department, Circleville Fire Department, Walker Valley Fire Department, Wallkill Fire Department, Shawangunk Valley Fire Department, and Orange County Battalion 2 Coordinator.
