Having paved 8.5 miles of roads thus far, Town of Montgomery Highway Superintendent Shawn Meres is looking to make it an even dozen.
Meres received approval recently from the Montgomery Town Board to pave Coleman and Rider Roads
“That would push us to about 12 miles for the year,” the Highway Superintendent said.
Meres said the town is anticipating about $200,000 in funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that can be used for the project, in additional to the $800,000 that’s already in the highway department fund balance.
