Library News
Read now about all the activities going to take place at the library. Here is something you can help us with. If we can collect enough soft plastic (500) pounds by January,  we will get a free Trex bench for our yard. So please collect clean soft plastic like bread bags. bubble wrap, case overwrap, dry cleaning bags, grocery bags, etc. and bring them to the library community room.  Just think how much plastic we are keeping out of landfills or ending up in the ocean.

There are  story times  for toddlers  on Mondays and pre-school children on Wednesdays.

Call the children’s department , for more details 845-744-4265 ext. 3.  We have 2 Reading  Assistance dogs that children can read to encourage oral reading skills.  Make an appointment for a one on one time.

For the adults, there is pinochle on Mondays, Scrabble on Tuesdays, Bridge on Thursdays. More players are welcome. Join us.

We have book clubs, too. If you are interested, let us know.  Each month, a new book is chosen and discussed. Right now we have 5 book clubs going strong.

We have many free books on the porch for your taking. Inside, there are DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, puzzles, board games,  more books, picture frames, kitchen items, tvs, wall mount small shelves, cell phone cases, autographed books and more. Ask and we just might have it . We also give individual help on your electronic device, print a copy from your phone, assist in getting forms and help  with many of your questions. We have a notary too, on  Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you need to talk to someone for a few minutes, we do that too.

Happy Birthday to Claire Dunn, November 20; Theresa Brady, November 27; Richard Morgentaler, November 29; Annemarie Willard, December 12. Lois Romano, December15 and Kay Phillips, December 19.

Get well wishes to my mother, Lois Grossi.
