Music for Humanity will present its 192nd Free Performance Night featuring singer-songwriters Robert Bidney and Andy Shapiro on Oct. 17 at Noble Coffee Roasters, 3020 Route 207, Campbell Hall.

The performance, part of Music for Humanity’s monthly listening-room series, begins at 7:30 p.m. Doors are recommended around 6:30 p.m. for those seeking a table. Noble Coffee will offer a light dinner menu, desserts, coffee and tea.

Bidney, an award-winning touring singer-songwriter based in Fort Myers, Florida, has released three albums and has received recognition for his work in folk and Americana music. His song “It’s All About the Love” received an honorable mention in the 2023 Music for Humanity Songwriter Competition.

Shapiro began studying songwriting at age 62 and released his debut album, “Find My Way Home,” at age 66. His music blends Americana, blues, country and folk. His latest project, “Strings of Hope,” combines songs and stories about finding hope during difficult times.

The concert is free, although tax-deductible donations are accepted to support Music for Humanity’s music scholarships and instrument programs. The organization said it has awarded more than $233,000 in music scholarships and purchased more than $35,000 in musical instruments.
