On January 17, Crawford Police received a 311 call reporting the sexual assault of a 27-year-old female. After an investigation, with the assistance of Orange County Rape Crisis, it was determined that the victim was sexually assaulted on two separate times within the Town of Crawford.

On January 19, 2 Tyler Hutting-Soyka, 27 of Montgomery was arrested and charged with Rape 2nd and Sexual Abuse 3rd.

Hutting-Soyka was arraigned at Orange County Central Arraignment by Town of New Windsor Justice George Meyers. Hutting-Soyka was remanded to Orange County Jail on 2,500 cash or $7,500 secure bond.
