The Pine Bush football team saw its season end in Friday night’s Section 9 Class AA semifinal with a 44-20 loss to the Middletown Middies on Friday night at Faller Field in Middletown.
It was the second time the Bushmen have lost to the Middies this season.
The Bushmen clinched their berth in the Section 9 Class AA playoffs with wins over the Valley Central Vikings and the Kingston Tigers.
Middletown will head to Saturday’s Section 9 Class AA championship game against No. 2 Newburgh on Saturday at Academy Field in Newburgh.
The Bushmen finished the season with a 3-6 record.
Non-league
Valley Central 23, James I. O’Neill 21
The Valley Central Vikings finished the regular season with a 3-6 record after Friday night’s victory over the James I. O’Neill Raiders.
O’Neill will face Chester for the Class C championship.
Kingston 51, Wallkill 36
The Wallkill Panthers dropped their final game of the season on Thursday at Robinson Field.
They finished the season with a 3-7 record, while the Tigers improved to 2-8.
