Maybrook remembers Sept. 11

Posted

On Sept. 11, the twentieth anniversary of the attacks on the U.S., the Village of Maybrook gathered to remember firefighters, police officers and civilians who perished.

The village also remembered Maybrook resident and New York City Fireman David Weiss who lost his life while helping others in the World Trade Center on that tragic day. David Weiss’ fiancé Kathy Emhardt joined Maybrook Mayor Dennis Leahy along with her son and grandson to remember David Weiss.

“We extend our thoughts and prayers to the families who continue to mourn the loss of their loved ones and will always remember those who perished that day,” Leahy said. “God Bless all of them.”
