Marian Taylor, 73, long time resident of Wallkill, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born June 26, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Arthur and Hannah Zuckerman Blau. She graduated from Calhoun High School in Merrick, NY, and from Orange County Community College.
Marian was recently widowed after 51 years of marriage to Terry Taylor. Survivors include her twin sister Susan Frisbie and her brother Alfred Blau, her children Joshua Taylor & wife Allene of New Milford, PA, Benjamin Taylor of Mt. Washington, KY, Patrick Taylor & wife Anniefer of Manchester, CT, and Ellen Jones & husband Jonathan of Highland, NY, her stepson Ernie Taylor & wife Elizabeth of Los Lunas, NM, her 10 beloved grandchildren and many adored nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Molly Schroeder.
Marian cared for many patients as a Registered Nurse at Castle Point VA Hospital before having to cut her career short due to losing her vision from Macular Degeneration. She was also a member of the Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
Marian had a huge heart and an infectious laugh. She lived for her family and her door was open to anyone in need. She made friends feel like family, ensuring they had a roof over their head, food in their belly, and love in their heart.
