Lynette Arlotta, a long time resident of the area, passed away on June 20, 2021. She was 71.

The daughter of the late Ferdinand Forestiero and the late Marie Anstey, she was born on May 6, 1950 in Manhattan, NY. Lynette attended School in Pine Bush School District and on May 24, 1969, she married Carmine J. Arlotta in Pine Bush, NY.

Lynette was an exceptional wife and mother, dedicating her attention full time to raising and nurturing her family. When her children were older, Lynette worked as a bus monitor and aide for EJ Russell Elementary in the Pine Bush Central School District.

Lynette was also involved in the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary and a member of the Catholic Society in Pine Bush for many years.

Lynette was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was such a strong woman who preserved through some of the hardest life experiences and did so with grace and gratitude. Lynette touched so many lives. She was a mother figure to so many, a shoulder to lean on, an honest word of advice…even if you may not like what you were about to hear, and most of all she was the epitome of “open arms” welcoming everyone who was blessed to cross paths with her. She was a fighter by nature and her resilience for the ones she loved will never be forgotten. Lynette will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.

Survivors include her children; Andrew Arlotta and girlfriend Jan Wuelfing and Justine Arlotta-Ayala, grandchildren; Andrew James Arlotta, Ashlyn Marie Arlotta and fiancé Ryan Pappaianni and Gabriel Kaveh Ayala and step brother; Bruce Anstey. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Lynette is predeceased by her husband, Carmine J. Arlotta; her brother, Fred Forestiero; her stepfather, Douglas A. Anstey; and her grandchildren, Raylyn Hope Ayala and Johanna Faith Ayala.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 12-3pm at William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Inc., 1525 Burlingham Rd, Pine Bush. A celebration of life will follow from 3:30-6:30p.m. at the Catholic War Veterans Hall, 161 Center St., Pine Bush to honor both Lynette and her mother Marie Anstey whom passed away earlier this year. Funeral services will be offered on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Rodrigo officiating.

Burial will take place in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen where she will be laid to rest along side her beloved husband.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her nieces animal sanctuary, Karma Cat & Zen Dog Rescue Society at karmacatzendog.org and/or the ASPCA in her memory.
