John “Jake” Donnell of Pine Bush, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in Tennessee.  He was 75. 

The son of George Donnell and Anna Ghidelli Donnell, he was born April 11, 1946 in Caserta, Italy. Arriving in in Ellis Island after World War II as a 3 month old infant, he lived an extraordinary life. From serving his country to traveling across it, there was no adventure or challenge he did not take head on.

John was president, owner, and operator for P & B Woodworking, Pine Bush, NY and served in the Army from 1968-1970. He was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. 

Survivors include his wife Sherri at home, daughter Arielle Russell and Husband Wayne; Grandchildren Hayden and Duke Russell; son Jacob Donnell and wife Abby

Brothers Philip Donnell; Niece Tonimarie Donnell and children, George Donnell and Christine Driscoll

Sister-in-law Robin Harkrider; Nephew   Leigh Harkrider, various cousins and friends from New York, Massachusetts, California, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Italy.

He was predeceased by his parents and his in-laws Phillip and Renee Kravitz. 

A graveside service was held Monday, May 10, 2021 at 1 pm at Beth Hillel Cemetery in Walden, NY.
