Jacqueline Victoria Brander died peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday, April 13, 2020.

Born in Middletown, NY in 1927 to Philip and Dorothy (Dink) Harris, Jackie was a lifelong resident of the area. Her grandfather took over running the train station at Phillipsburg/Crystal Run in 1895 and she often spoke fondly of the memories of time spent there. Jackie loved the Victorian age, style of home and her British heritage. Her childhood was spent growing up on Mason St in Montgomery, NY in one of those Victorian styled homes and it remained in the family for many years.

Jackie was the Prom Queen at Montgomery High School and met her husband of 72 years, Ralph, at a square dance.   They rode off on his Indian motorcycle and built a life together.  Jackie initially worked at Montgomery Worsted Mills as a machine set up specialist, but stopped working to raise her three children.  She was devoted to her family, faith and friends.  Jackie loved decorating homes, Broadway musicals, lunching out and high tea.

Jackie centered her life on spiritual things and once her children were grown, she volunteered fulltime, living and working at the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Brooklyn and then in Wallkill NY.   She was associated for decades with the Walden Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and had a strong faith in the resurrection to be reunited with her family and friends on a paradise earth.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Ralph, her three children Victoria, Philip (spouse Renee) and Ralph (spouse Theresa), 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well and nieces and nephews.  A zoom service will be scheduled for April 25, 2020 at 4:30PM.
