Hipolita Badillo, of Walden, entered into rest at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, March 26, 2020. She was 95.
Daughter of the late Nicolas Sanjurjo and Victoria Garcia, she was born on July 18, 1924 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.
Hipolita, formerly of the Bronx, was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, Newburgh.
Survivors include a son, Manolin Badillo of Yonkers; two daughters, Margarita Badillo of New Windsor and Wanda Klos of Walden; one brother Nicholas Medina of CA; one sister Elenor McClure of CA; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Hipolita was predeceased by her husband Ismael Badillo in 1988; a son Humberto Badillo in 2019 and her daughter, Rosa Perez in 2020.
Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, Newburgh.
