Georgiana Alvina McLeod, age 94 of Walden, entered into eternal rest on April 16, 2020 at Montgomery Nursing Home.

The daughter of late George and Miriam Thompson Murray, she was born on March 13, 1926 in the parish of Manchester, in Mandeville, Jamaica. 

Georgiana, often referred to by her nicknames “Georgie or Ms. Mac”, was married to the late George Nathaniel McLeod and had 2 daughters. Georgiana migrated to the United States in 1967 and began work as a custodian for Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx for 25 years. She was a talented seamstress and also had a love for singing in her church choir. She attended Calvary Gospel Assembly in the Bronx, where she served as an active member in her church community. Georgiana will be dearly missed by all. 

Survivors include her daughters, Winsome Sismon McLeod and her husband Rupert of Canada, Sharon Scott-Bonnick and her husband Sheldon Scott-Bonnick of Walden, NY; brother Keith Murray of Jamaica, grandchildren; Marie, Patrick, Patricia, Andrew, and Denise of Canada; Monique Brown, April Scott-Bonnick, Phylicia Scott-Bonnick, Timothy Scott-Bonnick; great grandchildren; Anthony Chong, Alexa Chong, Aaron Mould, and Arilis Romano.

Private entombment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Bronx, NY.
