Cellist Alex Prizgintas will present “The British Invasion: A Cello Show of 1960s and 1970s Rock ’n’ Roll” Thursday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. at the Josephine Louise Public Library, Municipal Square, Walden.

The program will explore the history of the British Invasion and the stories behind songs including Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir,” The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me” and The Zombies’ “Time of the Season.”

Prizgintas combines classical cello training with distortion, delay, guitar effects, a looping station, mixer and amplifier to create a rock-inspired performance accompanied by narration and stories about musical history.

Registration is required. Sign up at the library desk or call 845-778-7621. More information is available at alexprizgintas.com.
