Beverly Roebuck

On June 4th 2021, Beverly Leura Wood Eckler Roebuck stepped into glory, into the presence of her beloved Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.  

She was born March 7th 1930 to Gladys and Joseph Wood in Montgomery, Beverly started school in the one room schoolhouse on 208 across from Goodwill Church till the 8th grade.   From there she went to Walden High School where she graduated in 1949.  She attended Sunday School at Goodwill Church where she accepted Jesus as Her Savior and Lord.   As a teenager she invited her parents to attend the revival meeting where they both came forward and believed.  As a family, they all attended Goodwill Church.

Beverly married her high school sweetheart, Melvin Eckler, August 7th, 1949.  They had three daughters together, Deborah, Pamela, and Alane.  In 1972 she became a widow.  She remarried in 1975 to Robert Roebuck.  She continued to worship and serve the Lord at Goodwill Church until 2014 when she moved to Florida to live with her oldest daughter and son in law.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Beverly loved arts and crafts, fashion, and dolls, all types of handwork, and was an accomplished seamstress.  Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. 

Beverly joins Melvin Eckler, and Robert Roebuck in Heaven.  She is survived by her one sister, Arline Zwart-Edwards, three daughters and son-in Laws: Deborah (Tom) Freeman, Pam (Joseph) Smaha, Alane (Tim) Adams; 7 grandchildren: Ryan Freeman, Jeremiah, Timothy & Jeremiah Smaha, Tiffany Adams, Ashley-Lyn Carlson, and Justin Adams; along with her 6 Great Grandchildren: Miles, Brooks & Banks Carlson, Lily & Hannah Adams, and Jonah Smaha.

 A Memorial Service will be held at Goodwill Church August 27th, 2021 at 1pm
