Maybrook VFW presents Friday Nite Live
The Maybrook Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) announces the return of “Friday Nite Live,” an evening filled with live music, camaraderie, and support for our esteemed veterans. The event is scheduled for Friday, February 23, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Maybrook VFW located at 209 Main St., Maybrook.
This lively event will feature a dynamic musical performance by Dave & Rich, promising an unforgettable night of entertainment. Attendees can enjoy the music, unwind with friends, and take advantage of the cash bar available throughout the evening.
Tickets for “Friday Nite Live” are priced at $10 in advance and $15 at the door. To secure the early bird rate, be sure to book your tickets in advance by calling 845-427-5881.
In addition to the musical festivities, the event will include a 50/50 drawing, adding an extra layer of excitement for attendees. All proceeds from “Friday Nite Live” will go towards supporting the Maybrook VFW and its commitment to assisting veterans in need.

Pine Bush Library presents estate planning seminar
The Pine Bush Library will host an upcoming presentation on estate planning, featuring Dana Ware of Hudson Legacy Law. The seminar, titled “The Dirty Dozen Estate Planning Mistakes and How to Avoid Them,” aims to educate attendees on common pitfalls and provide valuable insights into proper estate planning.
Dana Ware, a renowned expert from Hudson Legacy Law, will share her knowledge and expertise on estate planning matters. The presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, at 2:30 p.m., and will take place at the Pine Bush Library located at 227 Maple Ave, Pine Bush.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about crucial topics such as intestacy (dying without a will), avoiding probate with a trust, protection from predators, creditors, and divorce, incapacity planning, and planning for Medicaid.

The Pine Bush Library invites the community to embrace the upcoming spring season with two informative garden events featuring our resident gardener, Kevin Cannon.
Seed Starting Workshop: Friday, March 1, 6 p.m. As the gardening season approaches, join us for an enlightening workshop on the best time and methods for starting seeds for your garden. Kevin Cannon will share his expertise on selecting the right soil, choosing the best seeds, and selecting appropriate pots for successful seed starting. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot by calling (845) 744-4265 x2. Please note that walk-ins will not be accommodated.

Basic Garden Design Seminar: Saturday, March 7, 1:30 pm. Back by popular demand, Kevin Cannon returns to the Pine Bush Library to guide attendees through the essentials of garden design. Discover how to plan your garden for optimal results and enhance its visual appeal.

A Night of Laughter to benefit Crispell PTO
Brace yourself for an evening of uproarious entertainment as Funny For Funds, in collaboration with Crispell Middle School PTO, proudly presents “Comedy for Crispell.” This side-splitting comedy fundraiser, hosted by It Ain’t Easy Comedy with Larry DiGregorio, promises an unforgettable night of laughter and camaraderie, all in support of Crispell Middle School PTO.
The event is scheduled for March 1, at the Pine Bush Senior/Community Center, located at 115 Route 302, Pine Bush. Doors will swing open at 7 p.m., and the laughter-filled spectacle is set to kick off promptly at 8 p.m.

This stellar comedy lineup features top-notch local comedians who are sure to tickle your funny bone while contributing to a great cause. Tickets for the event are priced at $40 each and can be conveniently purchased by emailing crispellpto@gmail.com.

St. Pat’s Ramble Celebrates 2024 Grand Marshal, Darlene Andolsek

The St. Pat’s Ramble Committee invites the community to a Mass and Cocktail Reception honoring the 2024 Grand Marshal, Darlene Andolsek. The celebration begins with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, at Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Church in Montgomery. The reception is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Ward’s Bridge Inn, located at 135 Ward Street in Montgomery.
Andolsek, currently Deputy Mayor, has been a dedicated member of the village board since 2006. She is a lifelong village resident, member of Holy Name of Mary-Assumption Parish, served on the Board of Commissioners for the Montgomery Fire District for 12 years and sits on the Montgomery Free Library board. She has raised five children in Montgomery.
Tickets for the reception are available at $40 each, and a cash bar will be open for attendees.
