Angel Gomez-Ortiz, of Walden, formerly of the Bronx, entered into rest on Sunday, March 29, 2020. He was 101.
Son of Fidel Gomez and Victori Ortiz, he was born on October 1, 1918 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico.
Angel was a retired owner/operator of a grocery store in Puerto Rico. He was also a member of the Church of God Central Newburgh.
Survivors include his wife Juana Maria Osorio; his children, Luis Gomez, Iris Gomez, Raguel Gomez, Raymon Gomez, Efrain Gomez, Jaime Gomez, Hilda Gomez, Virgen Gomez, Migdalia Gomez and Geno Gomez; a sister, Antonia Gomez; forty-eight grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Private burial will take place at Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
