The July 2 Community Day event with fireworks display has been canceled by the Town of Newburgh Town Board at the June 22nd Workshop Board Meeting.
“The Town Board deeply regrets canceling this Independence Day Celebration,” Supervisor Gil Piaquadio said in a prepared statement, “however, current conditions are not conducive to the safe assembly of large groups of people. If conditions permit, the Town Board hopes to have a community celebration later this year.”
Town Supervisor Gil Piaquadio stated, “I look forward to when we can all gather and socialize again.”
