The Newburgh Town Board approved the town supervisor to sign an agreement with Verizon Wireless for a new cell antenna on a town water tower at Stewart at the cost of $3,100 per month at a 10% increase over four years during their work session on Monday, November 28.

According to Supervisor Gil Piaquadio, the initial proposal from Verizon was stated at $2,700 per month with a 10% increase every five years with the town. Reviewing the proposal, the proposal before the town board at the work session instead was changed to $3,100 per month at a 10% increase over four years.

Board members expressed their support for the proposal and commended Piaquadio for his work to negotiate the agreement.
