Hello New Windsor. God works in mysterious ways. Recently one of our New Windsor Seniors that I have known for 18 years since I started in New Windsor and who was still living at home at age 97 had fallen and had to go to the hospital.

After the hospital she had to go into a nursing home and they sent her all the way to Cortlandt Manor. It was very hard for her daughter who is handicapped and lives in a group home, or for friends and family to visit her because it was pretty far away. Her family was trying to get her closer to home and was not having any luck as obstacle after obstacle kept coming up.

After another day of no luck of getting her moved closer I prayed and asked God to intervene and help get her closer. That day I had a visitor show up in my office: the Regional Admissions and Marketing Coordinator of Taconic Healthcare, Georgiana Paes.

Georgiana was new to Taconic Health Care and was looking to get them more involved in Community Events so she had come in to see if Taconic could get involved with New Windsor events. As soon as she told me who she was I smiled and told her that I would love to talk to her about our events, but I first wanted to pick her brain about another issue. I told her of the New Windsor Senior who was having so much trouble getting closer to home and family and friends and she was glad to help. After much work and diligence on her part the New Windsor Senior is getting transferred to Taconic Health Care in Beacon today!

Thank you so much Georgiana Paes for your care and consideration for our seniors, and thank you to God for sending her to my office that day. Miracles do happen!
