Quartz Rock Vineyard hosts Comedy Night

Posted

Dan and Jacqui Ferrari Heavens, proprietors of Quartz Rock Vineyard in Marlboro, hosted their 4th Comedy Night Saturday evening. The event is part of a series the Vineyard is hosting for the public in an intimate setting.

Host Danit Sibs gathered four other comics, who perform in a variety of venues in New York City, and traveled north to Marlboro to present their varied comedic styles; Nick Viagas, Hannah Lieberman, Will Julian and headliner Kitty Reynolds (no relation to this reporter).

Dan Heavens said the evening, “went very well. These guys drive up and try out some new stuff” He quickly credits Danit for bringing great talent to the Vineyard and his wife Jacqui who takes care of the logistics to make these comedy nights a great success.

Dan said Jacqui works very hard to get these special nights off the ground. He believes she may have been the first to launch comedy nights in the area, starting in April 2023.

“I think it’s a very good format that happens in a feel-good place,” he said. “It’s nice to get people up here to see our place and taste our wines.”

Danit Sibs brings new comics to the vineyard for each new comedy night. She described the evening as “amazing. It’s so fun and we love coming here from the city and the crowd loves it; everybody wants to laugh so it’s really enjoyable to do comedy in front of people and the wine is delicious. We’ll be back.”

Jacqui tries to schedule comedy nights quarterly.

“It’s so much fun every time that Danit comes back. She pulls from all of the comics that she knows and brings new people every time and it’s a lot of fun,” Jacqui said.

The next Comedy Night is set for July 13 at 7 p.m.
