Newburgh City Council approved to apply and accept, if awarded, a Restore NY grant that would see the properties 72, 76 and 78 Lander St. rehabilitated alongside the Dutch Reformed Church.

With the Lander St properties, the city is seeking to rehabilitate these properties into 12 rental housing units. The Newburgh Land Bank would also be a part of this endeavor with overseeing the proposed rehabilitation of the properties. The city would be able to apply up to $2 million for the Lander St. properties while with the Dutch Reformed Church the city is able to apply up to $10 million.
