The Newburgh City Council approved the reappointment of Cynthia Gilkeson, Carla Johnson, Ali T. Muhammad and Maria Ramirez to the City of Newburgh Police Community Relations and Review Board. Alexander Bolorin and Michael Carter were approved to be appointed to the board on Monday, February 26. Gilkeson, Johnson and Muhammad will serve three year terms expiring on August 15, 2026. Ramirez will serve a three year term expiring on September 27, 2026. Bolorin and Carter will serve for three years expiring on February 26, 2027.

The Police Community Relations and Review Board (PCRRB) is an independent, nonexclusive body of residents established to review complaints of alleged misconduct by members of the City of Newburgh Police Department. The goals of the Board are to improve communication between the City of Newburgh Police Department and the community, increase police accountability and credibility with the public, and create a fair and impartial complaint process.
