NWPD presents a Service Achievement Award

Hello New Windsor. The New Windsor Police Department last week presented Sergeant Jason Ross with a Service Achievement Award for 20 Years of service with the department. Sgt. Ross has served as a K-9 Handler, Firearms Instructor, and Discovery Compliance Officer for he department during his time. Town Supervisor Stephen Bedetti, Chief Dan Valeri, and Lieutenants Fred Fayo and Matt Monahan presented Sgt. Ross with his award.

A big congratulations to Senior Records Clerk Kathy Rossini on her retirement from the New Windsor Police Department after 26 years of service. Best of luck in your retirement, Kathy!

Congratulations to Officer Peter Persoon on his graduation from the Police Chiefs’ Association of Orange County Police Academy. Officer Persoon was one of 14 recruits completing the academy, which is 23 weeks long. Officer Persoon will now return to New Windsor to begin his field training. Best of luck on your career, Officer Persoon!

The Town of New Windsor Recreation Department has some new trips coming up. The first trip is to Brooklyn for a professional basketball game to see the Brooklyn Nets take on the Atlanta Hawks at the Barclays Center for a 7:30 p.m. game on Thursday, February 29.

The bus leaves New Windsor Town Hall Complex at 4:30 p.m. and will return to New Windsor immediately following the game. These seats are floor level. The price of the trip is $110 per person which includes ticket to the game and bus transportation down and back.

Then on Saturday March 16th take a day trip to see the all new hot Broadway Show “Back to The Future,” which is based on the hit movie with Michael J. Fox about a teenager going back in time in a time machine that was built out of a car. The bus leaves New Windsor Town Hall Complex at 10:30 a.m. for a 2 p.m. show, so there should be a little time to walk around the city or to eat lunch at a nearby restaurant. The bus will head back to New Windsor immediately following the show returning by 7 p.m.

The seats are Orchestra floor level. The price per person is $130 which includes the show and the bus trip down.

Then on Monday, March 25 the Recreation Department will be taking a bus trip to Madison Square Garden the World’s most famous arena to watch a professional basketball game with the New York Knicks taking on the Detroit Pistons in a 7:30 p.m. game. The bus will leave the New Windsor Town Hall Complex at 4:30 p.m. and will return to New Windsor immediately following the game. The price for the trip is $110 per person, which is a great deal. If you went to this game on your own it would cost over $200 with the game and transportation. Don’t miss out; sign up today. Space is limited!

On Wednesday May 1st join the Town of New Windsor Recreation Department for a trip to Citi Field to see the New York Mets to play the Chicago Cubs in field level seats. The bus will leave New Windsor Town Hall Complex at 4 p.m. for a 7:10 p.m. game. The seats are field level section 124. The price for the trip is $105 which includes ticket to the game and bus ride down and back. Don’t miss out. Space is limited; sign up today.

Then on Wednesday May 22 the Town of New Windsor Recreation Department will be taking a trip to Yankee Stadium to see the New York Yankees take on the Seattle Mariners in a 7:05 game. The bus leaves New Windsor Town Hall Complex at 4 p.m. for a 7:05 p.m. game. The seats are field level section 133. The price for the trip is $105, which includes ticket to the game and bus ride down and back.
