Passersby stood in confusion and shock along a section of Broadway on Monday afternoon. Earlier in the day a motorcyclist crashed into a SUV in the area of Broadway and Mill Street.

Strewn down Broadway was debris from the accident. Lying near the SUV was a single shoe and the motorcyclist’s helmet. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the motorcycle and its operator lying in the street.

The motorcyclist was transported to Montefore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital before being flown to the Westchester Medical Center. The driver of the SUV did not seek medical attention at the scene.

According to a recent police press release, the investigation is still active and no further information will be released at this time.
