Montgomery’s St. Patrick’s parade is a success

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, different organizations and performers participated in a green-themed parade to honor St. Patrick’s Day.

The parade kicked off at 1 p.m. with Village of Montgomery Police Chief William Herlihy being first in the line up. It featured over seventy different parade participants, including the 2023 Grand Marshals and their farms, local eateries and companies, past Grand Marshals, Valley Central students and more.

The St Pat’s Ramble began at the corner of Union Street and River Street, ending at Bridge Street. Multiple residents lined up along the streets to watch the 45 minute parade, which included candy throwing, music and many fire truck horns.

The St. Patty’s Ramble also hosted a reception for the 2023 Grand Marshals and hosted a “Run for the Gold” 5k run/walk.
